Ronda Rousey will make her long-awaited go back to the Octagon when she challenges Amanda Nunes for the UFC women’s bantamweight title at UFC 207. Rousey hasn’t fought since she dropped the belt — in her lone career reduction — to Holly Holm in UFC 193.
Rousey’s most significant attributes are her aggression and skill. “Rowdy” has never once gone into the judges’ scorecards inside her 13-fight professional career with 11 career victories via first-round stoppage. She is always pushing the pace and has fluid grappling skills to establish her submission game. But, it became clear in the Holm struggle she can be defeated and saddened by an opponent with great footwork.
Nunes rarely proceeds to decision either, as she’s gone the distance just twice in her 17 expert fights. She’s technically sound on the toes with enormous power in her hands. More often than not, she uses her wrestling capability to take the fight to the mat and utilize barbarous ground and pound to end her competitor. “The Lioness” has been proven to gas outside, though, along with her hyper-aggressive style implies the longer the battle goes, the worse it gets for the winner.
UFC 207 will take place on December 30.
